Located a few miles east of Saint-Emilion, Chateau Marsau enjoys one of the highest in the terroir of the Cotes de Francs. A fine clay and limestone soil justifies the exclusive use of Merlot, unique blend of Chateau Marsau, planted on gentle slopes facing south. The work of the vineyard is managed with quality in mind, and the harvest is manual and programmed according to the optimal maturity of each plot.??Robert Parker once called Marsau: 'Petrus of Cotes de Francs'

Tasting Note: A consistently well-made, fruit-driven wine dominated by Merlot, the 2011 Marsau offers up aromas of mocha, blueberries, sweet cherries, loamy soil, roasted herbs and hints of licorice and camphor. It possesses crisp acids, a medium-bodied mouthfeel and a soft, silky finish.
