The Vieux Chateau Certan estate, which in 1745 already figured on Bellayme's famous map under the name of "Sertan", is located in the heart of the Pomerol plateau. Covering 14 hectares in one single block, the vineyard is the fruit of a century of painstaking work and careful decision-making. It is regularly ranked by the world's press and international tasting panels among the very top wines.
Tasting note: A penchant for blockbuster wines with explosive fruit, then don't come near this. It is green and leafy on the nose, diffuse perhaps, while the palate is underpinned by slightly harsh tannins and there is a lack of weight on the herbaceous finish.
