From the Glenfarclas Family Cask Spring 2017 Release comes a 1987 vintage single malt, aged in a single refill Sherry butt until January 2017. 568 bottles were produced, bottled at cask strength.
On the nose, it is dense sherry, rum-soaked raisin, dark chocolate and those yummy herbaceous mint notes the appear in old Glenfarclas. On the palate: there is more sherry and more chocolate, as well as mature oak and christmas cake. The finish is full of freshly ground coffee, jammy fruit, clean malt and clove.
