Chateau Potensac belongs to the Delon Family (who also owns Léoville Las Cases, Nénin , Clos du Marquis) since a very long time and has always been passed down from generation to generation by the women of the family. It is a leading Cru Bourgeois estate. At the classification of Crus Bourgeois of 2003 of the Médoc appellation, It had been classified Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel.
Tasting Note: The 2009 Potensac has an attractive bouquet with blackberry, melted tar, black tea and graphite scents. Nicely defined it maybe a little conservative given the growing season. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, crisp acidity. Classic in style with fine graphite and cedar notes towards the finish.
